First thing's first. Here's a step-by-step guide to planning your cabinetry project.
Step 1: Find Your Style
Review design books. Clip magazine photos. Get a feel for the styles you like. Think about wood colors and finishes. Sure, you might change your mind after you visit our showroom, but this gives us a starting place.
Step 2: Choose Your Appliances
Before we can take measurements, we need to know the dimensions of your appliances. This is the time to decide whether or not you want a wall oven, a dual-drawer dishwasher, raised microwave, French sink or other convenience. Size specifications can be obtained from your appliance dealer or plumber.
Step 3: Build Your Team
Heritage Woodworks will design, build and install your cabinets. If you are remodeling and will be moving walls or shifting utility lines, you will need a general contractor and/or other trade professionals to assist you.
Step 4: Design Your Cabinets
We will provide a no-cost, in home consultation to discuss your design ideas and take measurements. After that, we may have several meetings as we review options and decide on a final plan.
- Initial Floor Plan This plan incorporates your living style with traffic flow and code requirements.
- Decoration and Utility We'll fine tune your space, integrating decorative details as well as cabinet inserts and other functional features.
- 3D Plans and Pricing We'll provide 3-D drawings and an itemized quote before we start your job.
Step 5: Installation
Your cabinets are installed by a dedicated crew that takes pride in its workmanship. We will respect your home and your time, and leave the area clean. Stocking the cupboards is up to you!
